Pakistan’s role in the War on Terror is a widely discussed topic among policy makers of carious countries, political analysts and international delegates around the world. Pakistan has simultaneously received allegations of harboring and aiding terrorists and commendation for its anti- terror efforts. As Pak-Afghan share a large scale border known as Durand Lane of 2230KM, it’s really important for both countries to maintain peace in the region. Pakistan has always protected Afghanistan from terrorism; recently a large scale military operation was launched by Pakistan Army in the tribal areas of the country that shares the border with Afghanistan on which Afghan government was taken into confidence to target those who flee from the border.
Moreover Pakistan has taken the responsibility of training Afghan Army Cadets in Pakistan Military Academy where full fledge war training is given to them. It’s the responsibility of Afghanistan to show sincerity to Pakistan as we have fought a major war to secure both countries. Pakistan Army has conducted successful military operations in which several important lives are lost.
It’s time for Afghan to think wisely and not allow India to take benefit from Durand Lane. India have been playing proxy games by sponsoring terrorists through the border and playing dual game by sponsoring terrorism in both countries and blaming Pakistani Intelligence for every act to break the nexus between Islamabad and Kabul.
Afghan should look in the history and see that Pakistan have always been sincere to Afghan and helped them in the time of help and have always given services to make their land free of terrorists. Now its time for them to play their part as it’s for the betterment of both states. Operation Zarb e Azb need full fledge support from across the border so that terrorists cannot enjoy safe havens in Afghanistan and being the partner of Pakistan in war against terror it’s obligatory upon them to play their part as winning the war to overcome terrorism is not possible without the support of Afghans.
It’s time for Kabul & Islamabad to sit together and some on a similar agenda and implement it fully to save further bloodshed by the enemy who is taking advantage of misunderstanding between the two nations.
